People are very supportive and respective here of the need
for residents to have time outside of the hospital, whether that be to
spend time with family, pursue sporting interests, connect with friends,
etc. Residents go the extra mile to help each other get the work done and
to have fun in the process! There is always someone around to bounce ideas
off of when you are working a patient's plan - everyone from attendings to
fellow interns are eager to share their knowledge with you.
Very supportive and friendly.
Excellent
Very good, if you're on a rotation with them, otherwise
you won't see them.
Wonderful!
Very good, though I don't participate in much of it since
I like to spend most of my free time with my family.
I think it's great! I get along really well with basically
all the residents. I don't think that being in a larger program has
limited the camaraderie at all.
Outstanding camaraderie with opportunity for frequent
gatherings, both large and small. Each time you start a new rotation you
get a chance to renew a friendship started at the beginning of residency.
Supportive in more ways than I would have imagined
The residents on each rotation I have been on look out for
each other and form close bonds. Also residents have been active about
getting together outside of work for those interested or available to do
so.
There are frequent opportunities to hang out with other
residents - there is also a range in terms of how much time particular
residents choose to spend with other residents outside of the hospital.
Some people having spouses and kids and prefer to spend most of their free
time with family.
Very good, I think that we have a fun time at work because
almost everyone gets along very well.
Extremely friendly
Fairly good, it is difficult since you often do not work
with or see a lot of residents because we are at so many sites.
Wonderful! I have been pleasantly surprised at how fun and
nice everyone is, and how much fun we have together.
I'm continually impressed by my fellow residents - a sharp
bunch!
It is a team effort to make the work enjoyable. Always
willing to help when needed - you never bear the work load alone.
The relationship among the residents is very supportive.
People are great about flexibility in switching schedules and helping each
other out.
Camaraderie is excellent - everyone is a team player that
I've met - makes it fun to go to work
Good camaraderie although it's hard to be social when
you're spread out across 4 different sites.
There is excellent camaraderie among the residents.
Everyone is always willing to lend a hand when you need it.
Couldn't be better!
Excellent at work. Don't have out much outside of work
though.
Very friendly. The more senior residents are quite willing
to support the development of the interns. As well, collegiality between
equals is very strong.
There is always someone ready and willing to help.
Very low-key but reliable--people are always happy to (and
often offer to) help out anyone who needs a hand.
Friendly residents, down-to-earth personalities.
Very supportive environment where you never feel alone
(unless you want to be)
Very good folks. Easy to find a close set of friends here.
There is a good vibe in the program among both residents
and attendings.
Wonderful, fun to work with and spend time with great
support network.
There are many different types of personalities in our
residency. Each one giving there own interaction. Generally though,
everyone is at least cordial and at best a riot of a good time.
Very willing to help out with scheduling problems, etc.
That we have a great program director. We get a vast array of experience, teaching.
Diverse array of clinical experiences, all in excellent
centers and with outstanding teaching across the board. You're always
busy, but never “too” busy.
Going to different sites prepares us for meeting all
kinds of patients and all kinds of illnesses. It makes us well-rounded.
You will be well trained when you complete our program.
We see a variety of patients in a variety of settings,
from academic to community-based.
The flexibility of the program.
My experience so far has been that this residency program
is very 'Life-Friendly' - both for those of us with kids and those who
don't. :)
You will learn a lot but you will work very hard.
Plenty of variety
Well-rounded exposure to many practice types, and
exceptional staff physicians.
Opportunity to work and build experience providing care to
children of all socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural groups in settings
ranging from a county hospital to the academic center
It is excellent training with some really excellent people
(staff and your fellow residents)
By working at several different sites we are greatly
benefited by the diversity of patients (in terms of ethnicity as well as
severity and types of illnesses/problems, etc.) and teaching staff. A
larger program offers flexibility to work around life. Plus, we have a
fantastic program director!
Diverse range of clinical experiences; broad range of
exciting research and other activities.
The leadership in our program is dedicated to providing
the best possible learning experience during residency. They listen to our
feedback and make changes to meet our needs on a regular basis.
Residents and attendings are very supportive. We will make
you feel like home, especially for those who are from areas.
Very friendly and fun working environment.
The diversity in clinical education because of
outstanding training.
Our program director is one of the best assets to the
program.
Flexible and Friendly.
The faculty are one of our greatest strengths. The program
is full of bright, dedicated physicians who enjoy teaching.
Flexibility, but lots of call throughout all 3 years.
Happy residents.
The program offers a comprehensive picture of
Pediatrics
being practiced in several different health care delivery systems and
patient populations. This broad exposure to pediatrics will only serve you
well in your future practice.
Truly get a great variety of general and subspecialty care
with attendings who are interested in teaching.
The variety of experiences and the camaraderie of the
residents.
Very friendly program with great exposure to all areas of
pediatrics. Great variety of patients from different ethnicities.
Great breadth of opportunity both in community clinical
experience and in subspecialty experience as well.
Good exposure the depth and breadth of pediatrics in a
friendly, collegial environment. A nice blend of technical and community
pediatrics.
There is a good variety of patients, commitment to
teaching/learning from staff and attendings, good environment for
learning.
Residents work hard, but become well educated and
knowledgeable enough to handle almost any situation. Faculty are generally
very understanding and excited about teaching. |
