Providing A
Full Range of Services for Children and Their Families
Bronx-Lebanon has continued to expand and develop its unique Child Study
Center, the only one of its kind in the Bronx, by bringing together in one
facility both Pediatric Neurology and Child/Adolescent Mental Health
services.
Under the dual leadership of Dr. Mario Rendon, Director, Child Psychiatry
Services and Dr. Ram Kairam, Chairman, Pediatrics, the Bronx-Lebanon Child
Study Center is providing a full range of individualized and integrated
treatments, including behavioral health, neurologic and learning
evaluations, and family centered care. |

The Child Study Center facility (located on Webster Avenue at 176th Street)
has recently been modernized, including a new entrance with street level
access, as well as improved activities, counseling, treatment, and visitor
waiting areas. The opportunity to enhance Child Study Center programs was
made possible through a major gift from ARAMARK Corporation.
"The positive outcomes that our joint pediatric and psychiatry staff have
achieved in addressing such conditions as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder, depression, school performance, and substance abuse are improving
the health of the community," stated Dr. Rendon,
When more specialized care is needed, patients and their families can be
referred to Bronx-Lebanon's pediatric health and specialty programs as well
as to crisis, inpatient, partial hospital mental health services at
Bronx-Lebanon (Fulton Division).

pediatric neurologists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, activity and
creative arts therapists, and educators. "We are helping children realize
their full potential in both the school and home environment as well as
educating parents in better understanding their children's educational
needs," stated Dr. Kairam .
"Our staff at the Child Study Center truly understand the needs of the
community, and we will continually strive to provide the very best in
services for them," stated Dr. Rendon . |
